Challenge Stages


  1st Stage - Ideation
From Friday February 1st to Sunday May 12th

Create your account and take part on your own or create a team of 1 to 4 people through the challenge platform! Choose a challenge category to work on with your teammates and submit your application when you're ready. It’s as easy as that!

You can use the template provided by Photonis to present your project in 5 slides.

You're welcome to use this template as inspiration, but feel free to add any other documents such as images, video, etc. The most creative and feasible projects will go through to the expansion stage.

You must submit your application before the following deadline:

May 12th, 2019 11:59 PM UTC+1

The 10 most creative and feasible projects will go through to the expansion stage!

 

All submissions should be in English.

2nd stage - Expansion
Until June 16th, 2019 23:59 UTC+9

 

The 10 selected projects will have to expand on their idea in a 20-slides presentation (PowerPoint or PDF). You're also free to add any other content that might be useful to support your project (a video, a prototype, etc.). During this stage, you will be supported by mentors, who will help you with your work and with optimizing the end result!


You must submit your project before the following deadline:

June 16th, 2019 11:59 PM UTC+1

The 3 best projects will have the opportunity to take part in the Grand Final!

The decision criteria are innovativeness, feasibility, presentation quality and long-term impact.

 


3rd stage - Final
10th of July, 2019

 

The 3 teams of finalists will pitch their project in front of the Final Jury, formed of Photonis Top Executives and other experts, at the Grand Final in a great location somewhere in Europe!

Selection will be based on the following criteria: innovation as well as technical and economic feasibility.

The judges will choose the 3 best projects, and the winning team will be rewarded with €5,000!
