In the highly populated and culturally diverse emerging low and middle income countries of Asia, we primarily observe the following dynamics:
- growing population and rising middle class;
- price sensitivity driven by low income levels;
- fragmented retail universe and complex trade layers;
- growing footprint of retailers which are dominated by mom-and-pop shops that lack access to supply, access to financing and knowledge of operating and financial management.
At PMI, to improve our eco-system and accelerate our smoke-free future, we are interested in solutions focused on enhancing our customer experience and improving the operating environment in these low and middle income countries through new approaches, products, services or ventures.
