Frequently Asked Questions

How can I participate?

Simply click the blue "Participate" button at the top.

If you have not participated in any Agorize challenges before, you will need to register to become a user first. Make sure to verify your account via your email after registration is complete!

Am I eligible to participate?

Our only eligibility criterion is that you LOVE the city of Hong Kong! All students, startups, SMEs, and any individual contributors can join the challenge as long as you are above the age of 18.

What if I am not from Hong Kong?

At Agorize, we believe that ideas can come from anywhere. As long as your idea is applicable to the situation in Hong Kong, you are more than welcome to join. This is a challenge led by Hong Kong innovators but open to all.

Do I have to form a team or can I participate alone?

It is up to you! The team size ranges from 1 to 5. If you are a student, you can team up with your friends and schoolmates. If you are from a startup or SME, you can participate alone as a representative of your entity. Students can also team up with a company employee. Best of all, our platform lets you look for other participants to team up as well so the possibility is limitless.

What is the deliverable?

A 10-slide deck describing the issue to tackle, idea for solution, plan for implementation and its relevancy to Hong Kong. Any supplementary documents or resources are welcomed.

What if I have more than one idea?

You can submit as many ideas as you have, either individually or in teams on any categories of your choice. Please make sure you form a separate participation on the platform for each of your idea.

What do I get out of this challenge?

Workshops and webinars will be hosted by our supporting organisations. Selected teams will also receive one month of mentorship. At the Grand Finale, you get a chance to win prizes and get connected to our various partnering communities.

Is the final pitching event going to be in person?

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, our Grand Finale is planned to be entirely hosted virtually.
