Selection Criteria

 The projects will be assessed following the criteria below:

 
  • Social Impact:

    Is the problem to be solved sufficiently large and can it create social change? Are the issues and needs of the target customers to be solved clear?

  • Marketability and business potential:

    What is the size of the addressed market? Can the business scale and expand globally?

  • Uniqueness and competitive advantage:

    Does the business have innovative core strengths and advantages against competitors?

  • Feasibility:

    How feasible is the solution to put into practive from a technical standpoint? Is the business plan concrete?

  • Synergy with NEC (Mentoring and Finals only):

    Is the business conducive to NEC's expansion and will it benefit from NEC's assets?

  • Team:

    Does your team have the skills and experience necessary to make this project a reality?
