KAHRAMAA is calling on innovators to develop a Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS) that translates second-life battery potential into a functional engineering design. This initiative seeks to solve dual challenges by creating a circular economy for batteries while stabilizing the national grid.

  • Up to 100,000 USD from QRDI can be made available depending on the project proposal and to be agreed on a case-by-case basis
  • Access to relevant standards, specifications, and operational requirements
  • Access to subject-matter experts from the relevant KAHRAMAA teams
  • Support in exploring (local) battery sourcing and securing a pilot site
  • Mentorship and broader technical support
