GirlSpark 2018

Welcome to the GirlSpark e-Classroom!

As a mandatory training session before you apply for the GirlSpark camp, the newly introduced GirlSpark e-Classroom aims at providing you a taste on technical trainings, the power of technologies that can improve the world, so as to better equip potential participants like you for the Mini-Hackathon in the GirlSpark Camp.

Training Curriculum

The e-Classroom consists of a total of 3 modules – Module 1 is mandatory and you can choose 2 courses among Module 2 & 3 (total: around 2.5 hours total, including assessment)

• Module 1: Technology for Social Good
• Module 2: Boost Your Productivity with Office 365
• Module 3: Introduction to the Latest Microsoft Technologies

Expected Learning Outcomes

By the end of the e-Classroom training, you shall be able to:

• Obtain basic understanding on Microsoft’s effort in driving social goods with innovative technologies and ideas
• Acquire basic knowledge on certain Microsoft technologies and productivity tools
• Share your reflections and learnings in the simple assessment in the application form
• Get a certificate in appreciation of your successful completion of the GirlSpark e-Classroom training

Approximately 2.5 hours (including assessment)

Step-by-Step Guide to the e-Classroom

STEP 1

Complete the full list of Module 1: Technology for Social Good videos (mandatory)

STEP 2

Complete at least 2 videos among Module 2 & 3. Here you some samples of choice for your easy understanding:

1. OneDrive: Store, Sync, and Share your Personal Files (Module 2) + Empowering Your Journey to the Cloud (Module 3)
2. OneDrive: Store, Sync, and Share your Personal Files (Module 2) + Office Tips and Tricks (Module 2)
3. Empowering Your Journey to the Cloud (Module 3) + Transform Big Data into Intelligent Action with Advanced Analytics (Module 3)
   
   *You are also highly encouraged and welcome to complete as many videos as you want if you're hungry for new knowledge! 

STEP 3

After you finished the videos, proceed to the simple assessment along with the camp application by:

1. Click the “Participate” button on main page
2. Register / Login with an Agorize account
3. Fill-in personal details
4. Complete the assessment questions and the remaining part of the camp application

Points to Note

• This e-Classroom is a mandatory training in the GirlSpark application process. You're required to undergo a simple assessment on the video content when you submit the application.
• You don’t have to watch all the videos in one go – feel free to manage your e-learning throughout the whole application period and complete the assessments with camp application by 8^th November 2017.
•  The training resources for GirlSpark e-Classroom is powered by Microsoft Tech Academy – Feel free to enrich your learnings there with more free online trainings on technology and innovations!
