Timeline

  • Application Phase

    Oct 4 - Dec 13

    Register on the platform and submit your application form and the documents!

  • Online voting

    Dec 23 - Jan 12

    The Top 20 teams will be shortlisted by a jury panel from JX Nippon Mining & Metals.

  • Interview Phase

    Feb 8 - Feb 10

    The top 20 teams will be interviewed online by a panel of judges from JXNMM.

  • Mentoring

    Feb 16 - Mar 18

    The Top 8 teams will be paired with JXNMM mentors to prepare for the Final Event.

  • Final Event

    End of March 2022

    Top 8 finalists to pitch to the final jury. The results will be announced on the day.

Online Voting

December 23, 2021 – January 12, 2022

 

A jury panel from JX Nippon Mining & Metals will evaluate the submissions from December 23, 2021 to January 12, 2022.

Judges will select 20 startups to participate in the Interview phase. The results will be announced between January 12-13, 2022.

Mentoring Phase

February 18, 2022 - March 18, 2022

 
The finalists teams will be paired with JXNMM mentors to improve their projects and prepare for the Final Event.
The final pitching deck for the Final Event should be submitted before March 18, 2022 at 23:59 (GMT +9) and should include the following:

  • Problem being addressed
  • Solution offered
  • Impact of the solution
  • Business model

You may be required to also submit your collaboration plan with JXNMM brushed-up with your mentor as well as the main discussion points you had during the mentoring phase.

Voting Criteria

During the online voting and interview phases, the judges will evaluate the ideas based on the following criteria:


  • Uniqueness/distinctiveness:

    How unique is your startup proposal?

  • Business potential/growth potential:

    What is the growth potential of your business?

  • Synergy with JXNMM:
    • Online voting: can your solution leverage JXNMM assets and core technologies?
    • Interview: What impact can your solution have on JXNMM’s business?
  • Social Impact:

    What is the level of impact of the solution on society?

  • Feasibility of the solution:
    • Online voting: How easy will the solution be to implement?
    • Interview: Is your business plan feasible?
  • Team (Interview phase only):

    How do the different profiles in your team complement each other to make your solution successful?
