I. LAUNCH OF THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

• Call for applications is launched on the website https://www.agorize.com/ifa-um6p-showcase and will end on November 30, 2022. 
• To participate in the Showcase competition, you must complete the online questionnaire available on the website : https://www.agorize.com/ifa-um6p-showcase
• Registration for the competition is open to startups from around the world, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
• Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges composed of representatives from UM6P, IFA and its member companies.

II. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

In all events, Candidates agree that these terms and conditions govern their rights and the rights of IFA and UM6P with respect to the application made by Startups in connection with the Showcase competition ("Application"). The Application must be in one of the categories of the Showcase competition. It must be submitted in English.

By submitting their Applications, Candidates agree, without reservation, to the following:

• The Application is original, created by the Candidates, belongs to them, and does not constitute borrowing, counterfeiting or plagiarism, and does not infringe on the rights of third parties, whatever they may be (in particular, copyright, moral rights, intellectual or industrial property rights, patent, etc.);
• The Application complies with applicable laws, market best practices, ordinances and regulations

IFA and UM6P cannot guarantee that all Applications made in response to the Showcase competition will be reviewed and is under no obligation to publish or consider any Application. IFA and UM6P reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove any Application that, among other things, infringes on the rights of others or violates any law or regulation.

III. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

In all events, the Application and all related intellectual or industrial property rights remain the exclusive property of the Candidates.

Candidates guarantee that they have the evidence to determine the anteriority of a creation and thus have the date of its creation or invention. If this is not the case, IFA and UM6P will not be able to take the Application into account and exclude it from the Showcase competition without any justification, even if there is a simple doubt about its integrity and authenticity.

IV. CONFIDENTIALITY

1. Not disclose the Confidential Information to third parties and take all necessary measures, legal or otherwise, to avoid disclosure of the Confidential Information in any form;
2. Not use the Confidential Information, directly or indirectly, in any capacity and for any purpose whatsoever, on their own behalf, or on behalf of any third party, nor allow it to be used for any other purpose than submitting their application in this Showcase competition;
3. Implement measures and procedures to ensure the security of Confidential Information.

• Each candidate must agree to the rules of the event and give his/her consent to the processing of his/her personal information and the use of his/her videos and images by the team in charge of organizing the African Agtech Showcase.
• All participants must ensure that the information provided at the time of registration is true and accurate and must unconditionally accept all decisions made by the organizers regarding the conduct of the showcase
• Participants in the Showcase competition hereby acknowledge that participation is free of charge and does not entail any right to compensation for expenses incurred other than those provided by the organizers.
